The cyclo-cross course at Redgrave (near Diss, Suffolk) was very flat and exposed, and a strong breeze made some sections quite a slog. The lack of hills was compensated for by a great many technical sections, including a steep 2-metre earth pile which riders had to scramble over; even the best riders decided to carry their bikes over it, not to mention a road bit, which even the Senior riders slowed down on a huge amount, due to the wind.
Anyway, here are the videos of the races!
What do you get when you do a Cyclo-cross on a windy day? A gearful of the course tap! Well that's what my dad got at the Redgrave course, and due to that, he lost 5 of his 8 gears and was left with his top three only!
