Do you know what a woodburning stove is?

(Below) Here are pictures of our stove. There are some types of wood that can't go in but oak can definitely go in. We don't use our stove to heat our hot water, but you can do if you want.

Our house has got a new wind turbine. It was installed on the 15th of October 2007. It started blowing a few minutes later, and the wind turbine started spinning. Right now, in our house at the moment (11 November), we have generated about 33 units of electricity. Last week we had a replacement wind turbine put up, and they used a really cool crane to go all the way up to the top of the house.

This is how to make your own wind turbine.
  1. First: buy a dynamo
  2. Get pieces of straight wood
  3. Use the straight pieces of wood so that they can fit around the dynamo, to hold it in place up in the air (and make sure the screws don't go into the dynamo)
  4. Get some more pieces of straight wood, to use as the blades
  5. (Looking down the shaft of the dynamo) One blade points straight down, one points up and to the left, one points up and to the right.
  6. Fix the blades to the dynamo
