When you come to be a beginner at playing the piano, you start with pressing one note at a time.

Then it gets on to playing with one hand but using a few different fingers.

Then you can use two hands, You press two notes at a time with one hand, and play different notes with the other hand.

The notes on the music sheet are very hard to read when you are a beginner. When I was a beginner I found it very hard to read the notes.
